The exhibition documents the pres- ence of Murano glass at the Biennale between 1912 and 1930 (from the 10th to the 17th edition) through a careful selection of 135 pieces, many of which are very rare, from important museum institutions and private collections. Murano glass gradually found its place within the Bi- ennale, first through artists working with this extraordinary material, but also thanks to decorative arts being welcomed into the Palazzo dell’Esposizione until 1930, together with the so-called Fine Arts.
