Christoph Büchel (Switzerland, 1966) takes the layered history of Ca’ Corner della Regina, from birthplace of Caterina Cornaro to Monte di Pietà and Historical Archive of the Venice Biennale, as the starting point for the construction of a complex installation. The project includes historical and contemporary work, new exhibition structures and a vast selection of objects and documents relating to the history of property, credit and finance, the formation of collections and archives, and the creation and meaning of a real or fictitious heritage.
