Promoted and organized by the Giancarlo Ligabue Foundation, and curated by Pietro C. Marani – an art historian, Leonardo scholar, president of the Ente Raccolta Vinciana in Milan and a member of the National Da Vinci Committee –, the exhibition at Palazzo Loredan shows seventy drawings and caricatures that cover from the early 16th century to the latter 20th century, from the Grotesque Head attributed to Da Vinci to a triptych by the Irish artist Francis Bacon. A major core of works exhibited includes the drawings of Giambattista Tiepolo from the Civic Art Collections at the Sforza Castle in Milan.
