In his works, the German artist Dietmar Brixy unfolds a layered landscape suspended between dream and reality, movement and transformation. Landscape serves as a starting point – not as a representation of external reality, but as an expression of inner states. Horizon lines, planes of colour, and tectonic structures open pictorial spaces in which perception, memory, and imagination overlap. The intense and expressive use of colour – through thick layers of impasto, transparent glazes, and visible passages – creates surfaces in which time remains inscribed as a trace.
