Words can be dangerous, that much we know. Chinese artist Gao Bo, a longtime resident of France, once wrote on a whitewashed wall: “Il n’y pas de langue qui ne soit pas dangereuse” – “there’s no language that isn’t dangerous”. The artist’s vision is revolutionary in its logical simplicity: there is no language that is immaculate, that has no provision for abuse, violence, and overbearance, which means we must construct a language where these concepts will be excluded. Gao Bo created a new language in which each of us can recognize harmony. Its alphabet, uncorrupted by violence, can now be read in a beautiful exhibition: Gao Bo高波 Offerta. Venezia-Himalaya, which opens the new IN’EI Art Gallery.The several rooms at the Gallery gift us with the sweetness of soft, deep thought, immersed in a pleasant Eastern Asian atmosphere.The main piece at the exhibition is Mandala Offering, Tibet, a photographic environmental installation by Gao Bo, who feels a deep connection with Tibet and Tibetan culture.
