An abandoned glass furnace on the island of Murano is the perfect setting for an ambitious exhibition that explores the infinite creative potential of glass. Renowned artists of international fame experiment with the medium thanks to original collaborations with the master glass-blowers at Berengo Studio in Murano.
The result is GLASSTRESS, a unique collective exhibition by Adriano Berengo that eludes stereotypes about Venetian glass by demonstrating glass’s place within the world of contemporary art. The title, an homage to Fellini, announces that this is the 8th edition of GLASSTRESS in Murano, and adds a 1⁄2 for the two monumental works by Koen Vanmechelen and Sabine Wiedenhofer at the Arsenale Nord.
