As part of Denied Horizons (Orizzonti Negati) – the exhibition project through which EMERGENCY Venice reflects on migration –, and included in the Venice Glass Week 2026 program, the venue hosts the exhibition by Claudia Virginia Vitari, curated by Virginia Monteverde (in collaboration with Art Commission). At the core of the installation are floor and wall elements alongside three screen-printed glass spheres in dialogue with a torso, holding excerpts from the diary of Umaru, originally from Guinea-Bissau, who returned home in 2022 after fifteen years of legal and existential precariousness. An artwork that transforms individual memory into a universal reflection on suspended identities, waiting, and the search for belonging.
