As part of Denied Horizons (Orizzonti Negati) – the exhibition project through which EMERGENCY Venice reflects on migration and its pressing urgencies –, the venue hosts DIVIDED WE DO NOT STAND… A CHANCE, an immersive four-room installation created by artist Lilli Müller in collaboration with EMERGENCY. The exhibition addresses the political, social, and human fractures caused by war, persecution, extreme poverty, and the climate crisis, guiding visitors through environments that evoke human resilience by sea, by land, and under conditions of confinement. A red thread weaves through the space, symbolizing the fragile yet enduring bond between people beyond geographical borders.
The journey culminates in the final Project Room, Dawn, a participatory space where the public is invited to leave thoughts and visual notes, turning the artwork into a living archive of memory and shared solidarity.
