The exhibition, curated by Vincenzo Alessandria and Giulio Buchicchio, explores the idea of intimate narration. The protagonist is artist Lorenzo Maqced, who built this narration using different iconographies. The themes that emerge are rage, ecstasy, lust, and loss—each depicted by Maqced using different pictorial expressions. Original colour fields represent the complex relationships of enmity and friendship as they brush against and repel one another, like the artist’s feeling we are about to understand. In his creative process, the time dedicated to painting is always anticipated by a phase of research and assembly of images, both personal and sourced by the collective memory of the world-wide web.
