The branching and proliferating sculptures of Loris Cecchini seek to incorporate into their structure the potential interactions between technology and modularity, and those between the modules themselves and the expanding space determined by the external environment, in this case the magnificent frescoed halls of Ca’ Rezzonico. The pieces in the exhibition are constitutively and not episodically site-specific; forming and functioning in relation to their context, establishing another level of interaction and correspondence beyond “the Euclidean box of sculpture.”
