The work of multimedia artist Lucia Veronesi spans various disciplines, from anthropology to botany. The project La desinenza estinta, curated by Claudio Zecchi and Paolo Mele, and produced by Ramdom and among the winners of the 12th Edition of the Italian Council (2023), is inspired by the disappearance of Amazonian languages, the loss of knowledge of medicinal plants, and the overlooking of eminent female botanists of the past. These extinction processes are the basis for the creation of a large jacquard tapestry and a stop-motion video, which will become part of the Ca’ Pesaro collection.
