An exhibition dedicated to Marina Apollonio (1940), one of the most important figures in the international optical-kinetic movement. Her work was collected by Peggy Guggenheim, and the show traces the artist’s career to the present day, highlighting the rigour of her visual work, pursued through the multiplicity of variation and the elegance of execution, encompassing painting, sculpture and drawing, static, kinetic, and environmental works, black and white and chromatic studies, and technical and material experimentation.
