Artist Martin Weinstein’s solo exhibition is dedicated to Venice: exterior views of its magnificent canals and architecture juxtaposed with studies of interiors that evoke an elegant and intimate Italian domestic mood.
Created with multiple layers of acrylic, the paintings are ultimately simple responses to what the artist loves: a garden, a flower, the sun filtering through clouds, the city of Venice, the quiet of an afternoon, or the atmosphere preceding a storm. For Weinstein, this list is both vast and intimate, serving as a silent diary on the poetry of existence
