Small paintings and large canvases, wrapped together by the common theme of the relationship between animality and humanity. Mattia Sinigaglia took inspiration from the natural world and philosophy – Jacques Derrida’s in particular – and featured alternating geometric shapes, figurative and uniconic, to explore man’s double nature and the themes of magic.
In his art, the figures of man and animals emerge from enigmatic spaces and are immersed in vibrant colour that evoke deep, unexpected atmospheres. Sinigaglia’s visual narration opens to a dimension where the audience can lose their sense of inner self.
