The exhibition Potential Architecture explores key themes that have defined Lucy + Jorge Orta’s artistic research over the past thirty years: new ways of inhabiting spaces, identity, environment, and migration.
The display at SPARC* features a diverse body of work, including large-scale drawings and collages, architectural models in steel and blown glass, and one of the signature pieces from the Antarctica project: a tent-dwelling covered with garments, gloves, and screen-printed world flags, addressing human rights and the essential role of the natural environment.
Architecture thus becomes the core of a reflection on coexistence between humans and non-humans, opening new perspectives for the future.
