The exhibition name comes from an ancient parable that tells of a group of blind people who have never come across an elephant and when they have the opportunity to touch him they can imagine what the animal looks like. In the same way Chiara Capellini’s paintings, while looking for an explanation for imagination, don’t represent anything, they just focus on the actions of putting and removing colour. The result of this is a sort of meditation on the void, poised between art and spirituality.
