TRISTANO DI ROBILANT. INACADEMIA

A project curated by Cristina Beltrami, stemming from a careful study of the museum’s collection and spaces: Tristano di Robilant (London, 1964) approached the project with a particular sensitivity to the construction of the collections and the architectural history of the building, placing twelve glass sculptures— all made in Murano at the Anfora glassworks, first under the expertise of master Andrea Zilio and now Andrea Salvagno — according to a principle of dialogue with their surroundings. The glass works become a kind of visual stumble that, like strategically placed lenses within the museum route, invite visitors to a reflective and “alternative” reading of the museum’s masterpieces.
