The exhibition VISI (lit. FACES), hosted in the Biblioteca Manica Lunga of the Giorgio Cini Foundation in San Giorgio, represents an immersion into the artistic universe of the architect, designer, and artist Alessandro Mendini. The exhibition explores the theme of the face, considered one of the most fascinating aspects of Mendini’s works, a direct source of his design research. A particular pastel drawing of a face from 1996 becomes the symbol of this journey, portraying the idea and the object in a single representation. Thirteen objects and six drawings, selected from those created by the artist between 1987 and 2018, made with different materials such as metal, ceramics, glass, and mosaic, offer an in-depth look into his creativity.
