On the occasion of the forty-fifth anniversary of the gallery, the exhibition Visions of Beauty is a statement against the horrors of the world, a counter-project aimed at today’s wars and natural disasters. Beauty can lead to peaceful coexistence, and thus Dorothea van der Koelen has invited the artists she has been working with for years – Lore Bert, Daniel Buren, Mohammed
Kazem, Joseph Kosuth, Nam Tchun-Mo, Fabrizio Plessi, Arne Quinze, Turi Simeti, Günther Uecker, and Bernar Venet – to launch an appeal to beauty. Their responses make up the new exhibition.
