Converging trajectories

Promoted by Università Ca’ Foscari Venezia, the programme is part of the Writers in Conversation series and the university’s Public Engagement activities, offering opportunities for direct exchange with writers, scholars, and figures from the international cultural scene. The format is deliberately streamlined and conversation-based, favouring close dialogue and reflection on key cultural and social issues of the present.
The programme opens with Giovanni Montanaro, followed by a sequence of encounters that move across literature, history, and current affairs: from the rediscovery of overlooked figures such as Cristoforo Borri to contemporary voices including Sorj Chalandon – featured author of the 2026 edition of Pordenone Dedica – Ece Temelkuran, Marcelo Rubens Paiva and Marta Pérez-Carbonell.
Six events that function both as a preview and an interpretative key to the 2026 edition of the festival, taking place in Venice from 15 to 18 April.
