The artistic partnership between Daria Deflorian and Antonio Tagliarini began in 2008 thanks to Rewind, a tribute to Cafè Müller by Pina Bausch. Since then, they have signed many projects with both names Deflorian/Tagliarini establishing themselves on the international scene. In Venice, in Sale d’Armi, Deflorian/Tagliarini present Sovrimpressioni, an intimate and personal performance that borrows its title from the collection of poems by Andrea Zanzotto. Loosely based on Federico Fellini’s Ginger and Fred (1986), Sovrimpressioni shows the two protagonists performing again on the stage together. Maybe they are less friends and more critical than in the past and look nostalgically at the man and the woman they are now. The two performers compare each other on two themes: the fear of getting old and the recognition of personality traits they were not aware of.
