Glass-mania

Like the ever-changing nature of glass itself, Glasstress is a continuously evolving project. Founded in 2009 by Adriano Berengo, it fosters collaboration between contemporary artists and Murano glass masters, inviting experimentation that bridges tradition and innovation. Opening on July 12 across Ca’ Tron in Venice and the Berengo Art Space in Murano, the exhibition gathers over 50 international artists and designers to explore the expressive and transformative potential of glass. Inspired by Egidio Costantini’s Fucina degli Angeli, the project preserves artisanal knowledge while expanding artistic possibilities. Spanning sculpture, performance, design, and immersive installations, Glasstress redefines glass as a central medium in contemporary art, uniting diverse practices into a dynamic, boundary-crossing creative language that welcomes an international array of artists.
