Second season, highly anticipated

Designed for a local and international, intergenerational audience, it invites viewers into a journey into poetry and Venetian summer nights. After a year of performances, all ingredients are now perfectly blended. The cast have turned improvisation into an art, enriching the show night after night with new layers, balancing innovation and tradition. The narrative, seemingly fragmented yet deeply suggestive, unfolds in a kaleidoscopic play of meanings, evoking a hyperbolic grammelot. This return also marks the beginning of new projects. Ahead of the highly anticipated second season – starting July 9 – we spoke with Daniele Finzi Pasca, author and director of Titizé.

The meaning of Titizé for you and your company
It’s been a year full of emotions, with enthusiastic critics and over 60,000 spectators – a warm audience that have followed our work for years. We’re thrilled, and after this first international tour, we’re set to return soon to New York, Montréal, London, Latin America, and likely the East..

The perfect formula for a successful show
There’s no fixed formula. I try to stay true to a style and a constant search for beauty, suspended between dreamlike language and the subtle use of new technologies. I aim to surprise and move the audience, working with my longtime collaborators as we explore new paths. I choose performers and a technical team rich in talent and humanity – light yet precise on stage. Our theatre is empathetic: we connect with each member of the audience. As clowns, we dance with them, guiding them by the hand into ethereal worlds of papier-mâché, where sweat, risk, and the defiance of gravity are very real.

What’s new in 2025
We’ll present an even more refined show, polished in detail and rhythm. There will be a ghost flying suspended by her hair, and a faster pace to captivate the audience from the very first moments.

Prima Facie, your upcoming production
For years, we’ve alternated dreamlike, physical, visionary creations with projects that use narrative to address essential themes. Prima Facie by Suzie Miller is a brilliant monologue – musical, sharp, and complex. For Melissa Vettore, playing a lawyer who, after defending men accused of rape, experiences it herself, will be a true interpretive journey. The play is currently staged in over forty countries, and we’re honoured that Suzie Miller chose our company to produce the Italian version of this powerful work.
