The iconic Procuratie Vecchie palace at St. Mark’s is open again after lengthy renovation works carried out under the guidance of David Chipperfield Architects Milan. Their plan reflects and amplifies the unique vision of these spaces by revealing the palazzo’s beautiful heritage, given their new social mission. Under the auspices of the Generali insurance group, the Procuratie Vecchie is to become the home of The Human Safety Net, a place of dialogue and exchange to fight the challenges of the modern world and inspire visitors to act to liberate the potential in vulnerable people. A space that will be open to everybody and that supports Venice as the world capital of sustainability.
