Shaping the Future

Courage, determination, and the ability to expand one’s imagination: these are the key elements of the unique approach that has enabled Sanlorenzo to engage with the art world over the years. “We have always believed,” says Massimo Perotti, Executive Chairman of Sanlorenzo, “that there is an intrinsic connection between the worlds of art and yachting. Our commitment is to combine creativity and craftsmanship in our yachts, turning the sea into a canvas on which to paint extraordinary experiences.”
Following a series of international collaborations – first and foremost its ongoing partnership with Art Basel, of which it has been host partner since 2018 – Sanlorenzo Arts has now chosen to settle permanently in Venice. On June 3, 2025, it will officially open the doors of Casa Sanlorenzo, located in a historic palazzo just steps from the Basilica of Santa Maria della Salute. The renovation of the spaces, which now host site-specific artworks from the brand’s permanent collection created by international artists who have interpreted Sanlorenzo’s values at each edition of Art Basel, was curated by architect Piero Lissoni.
This new centre aims to be a place of encounter and dialogue between art, design, innovation, and nature – a space where creativity meets technology, expressing the values and energy that define Sanlorenzo’s identity. It will serve as a vibrant hub for educational programs, conferences, artist residencies, temporary exhibitions, performances, and cultural events, offering a platform to explore the complexities of the contemporary world through images, words, and ideas.

The opening event has been scheduled to coincide not only with the Venice Boat Show (May 29–June 2), but also with the first edition of Venice Climate Week (June 3–8), for which Sanlorenzo is a main partner. Curated by Riccardo Luna in collaboration with the Future Food Institute, Venice Climate Week celebrates the World Environment and World Oceans Days, placing Venice at the heart of the global dialogue on climate change, sustainability, and regenerative economic models. Sanlorenzo’s participation reflects a clear vision: to make yachting increasingly compatible with the environment through concrete actions and cutting-edge technologies.
The new Casa Sanlorenzo will also be one of the official venues of Venice Climate Week, hosting the Sanlorenzo Talks – a series of conversations dedicated to ecological transition and sustainable innovation, with more than 100 prominent guests from the scientific, cultural, and industrial sectors contributing to the global debate on the future of our planet.
