A quasi-surrealist atmosphere, a large installation of paintings and embroideries that depict daily life: animals, children, musicians, acrobats, and fantastic architecture create poetic interactions that foster new communicative avenues between individuals and species. The texture of rugs, handmade by women from Albania, Kosovo, Burkina Faso, and Suriname, metaphorically reminds of community-and relationship-building. Jakup Ferri (Prishtina, 1981) blends abstract motifs with drawings made by his son based on videogame Animal Crossing.
