In the All African Peoples’ Consulate conceived by conceptual artist Dread Scott (1965, Chicago), diplomatic relations among the countries of an imaginary Afro-futurist union follow a doctrine opposite to that prevailing in the real world. Moving within the countries of the Union is encouraged rather than restricted, and bureaucratic efforts are focused on facilitating dynamism and circulation of people from one region to another. After an appropriate interview with officials, also visitors can obtain a visa or passport to join this large pan-African community.
