Recognized as one of the most important Polish painters of the second half of the 20th century, Andrzej Wróblewski represented modern painting under the sign of “essential realism”, easily combining abstract and ambiguous contents without neglecting the stylistic results of the avant-garde. The exhibition brings together a rich selection of oils on canvas and gouaches by Wróblewski from the private collection of Anna and Jerzy Starak, loans from other private collections, and from the National Museums of Warsaw, Wrocław, and Lublin.
