Eleven blue ceramic spheres are at the centre of this exhibition. They are adorned with golden inscriptions that recall the chants of repentance (sharakan) written by the philosopher, theologian, poet, and inventor of the Armenian alphabet Mesrop Mashtots. The concepts of sin and repentance are also expressed through Seven Deadly Sins, a fifty-meter-long roll of white paper divided into seven parts, each of which represents one of the deadly sins. The two works dialogue with each other, producing an echo that reverberates in the exhibition space, while in the background we can hear a cappella performance of hymns belonging to traditional Armenian sacred music.
