Edith Karlson’s exhibition Hora lupi explores primitive human urges in their banality and solemnity; it also wonders whether any redemption is possible in a world that doesn’t deserve it. The church where the exhibition takes place, Chiesa delle Penitenti, helps to create the right emotional atmosphere to tell the animal nature of human beings, who show their different sides: brutal and violent, poetic and vaguely ridiculous, or gentle and melancholic.
