A Mexican artist with German and Lebanese origins, Erick Meyenberg tells Mexico’s story through the analysis of the massive migratory flows that have marked its history. Entire communities have left the country in search of a better future, while a significant number of refugees from various nationalities have sought refuge in Mexico for political, social, or economic reasons. Meyenberg’s video installation is not just a narrative, but a poetic evocation of the lives of migrants, whether they are foreigners in Mexico or Mexicans abroad. In the middle of the exhibition space, a set table invites ‘passersby and travelers’ to feel at home.
