Manal AlDowayan explores the evolution of the role of women in Saudi Arabia through a multimedia installation inspired by workshops she organized in Al Khobar, Jeddah, and Riyadh to reflect on the concepts of visibility and invisibility in women global media representation. Through group singing sessions and discussions, the participants – over a thousand women of all ages – shared expectations and perspectives, thus contributing to highlighting the history of the women’s situation in their communities and promoting the reaffirmation of their own identity.
