Thirty intergenerational artists and collectives examine their own contexts of artistic production, challenging the prevailing narratives that contribute to the construction and perpetuation of art stereotypes. Through the exploration of collective memory, Wan Acel offers an intimate and multisensory kaleidoscope of artistic works and craftsmanship that encourages us to ask questions that go beyond superficial social labels. Instead of asking “who are you?” and “why are you here?”, the reflection proposed by Uganda encourages us to ask “how are you?”, in a mutual effort of understanding and empathy.
