PADIGLIONE VENEZIA

Curated by Università Iuav di Venezia, the Pavilion is conceived as a large library, a metaphor for collective intelligence. The shelves host specially created books, enriched with textual and multimedia content documenting research and projects on the future of the city. From the Giardini, the project expands into the historic center, involving Iuav locations such as Ca’ Tron, Tolentini, Magazzino Ligabue 6, ex Convento delle Terese, Palazzo Badoer, and Fondazione Masieri. The widespread exhibition program, Iuav at Work, unfolds across eleven exhibitions exploring themes such as sustainability, the transformation of Venice into a campus-city, international reconstruction, the new India-Mediterranean geopolitical corridor, climate neutrality in the Northeast, the work of Giancarlo De Carlo, and the academic research sources. The project marks the first step in a three-year collaboration between the City of Venice and Iuav, opening new perspectives for the Venice Pavilion and its future evolution.
