A research project that explores the mechanisms of perception through illusions, simulacra, and hyperreal elements, drawing on visual traditions that evoke the classical world and the baroque imaginary. Norton Maza’s project takes shape as an immersive, multisensory environment structured around a large-scale architectural framework, where images and sounds unfold within a constantly shifting perceptual field. The experience opens onto global issues such as migration, ecological crisis, misinformation and political tensions, viewed from a South American perspective and brought back to a reflection on the relationship between power, truth, and freedom.
