The Pavilion at the Giardini celebrates its centenary by hosting, for the first time in twenty years, an exhibition jointly staged by the two States. Video, sculpture, and architecture explore what happens to imagination when it becomes an instrument of cultural representation, shifting from poetic language to a device of persuasive power. At the heart of the project, the figure of the Mole takes shape as a metaphor through which the two political entities reflect upon and represent their own identity.
