The fermata – a musical symbol to hold a note or a pause at the performer’s discretion – gives its title to an exhibition that invites visitors to slow down and observe the silent rhythms of daily life. The two Hong Kong artists Kingsley Ng and Angel Hui work with light, sound and movement in site-specific installations: the former transforms ordinary urban rituals into meditative encounters with the fleetingness of time, the latter draws attention towards objects and presences usually overlooked, revealing the subtle pulsing of city life.
