Yasna Kohlbrenner’s fractured surfaces – deliberately cracked and filled with gold leaf, precious pigments, and stones worked by women who have survived extreme experiences – turn wounds into threshold. An alchemist of matter and memory, the artist focuses on what emerges after rupture: light and the pursuit of beauty. From the darkness, fluorescent figures appear, evoking children forced to be invisible. Suspended hammocks and benches invite visitors to rest. On the ground floor, Japanese textiles enter into dialogue with works addressing the African diaspora, unfolding a path that swings between collective storytelling and intimate reflection.
