Two site-specific interventions question the transmission of knowledge as an unstable system, shaped by fractures and recombination. The neon sculptures of fragmented and undecipherable signs by Monia Ben Hamouda, who reworks her father’s legacy of Islamic calligraphy, turn writing into an unreadable alphabet, where light does not illuminate but holds in suspension. Lara Favaretto’s installation takes the form of a monolithic shelving structure bringing together volumes selected for their content fullness, each paired with an archival image. An analog hypertext governed by serendipity emerges, interpreting knowledge as a constantly shifting field rather than an organized repository.
