The exhibition explores interspecies relations, spirituality, and transnational exchange, mapping Eurasia during the Mongol Empire in relation to 13th century Venice. The artists’ practices interweave tradition and contemporaneity: Nomin Bold reworks the mongol zurag painting style through vibrant scenes that reflect on material exchange and urban culture; Dorjderem Davaa employs natural materials and mythological imagery; Gerelkhuu Ganbold merges folklore with video games and science fiction; Tuguldur Yondonjamts investigates cultural heritage, palaeontology, and ecology. The result is a vision of Mongolia as a dynamic field of relations, shaped by migration, coexistence, and resilience.
