A return to the deepest shades of the lagoon, to what endures: the Venice Pavilion develops a sensory and narrative experience that opens a field of resonance between past, present, and future. The path unfolds through a sequence of environments corresponding to four symbolic dimensions of the city – submerged, domestic, mythological, and collective. Among material accretions evoking underwater landscapes, generative sound systems, and everyday objects gathered from residents (Diario Veneziano di Ilya ed Emilia Kabakov), Venice emerges as an ongoing process, layered and unstable, sustained by constant memory and transformation.
