Born from the presentation of Rirkrit Tiravanija’s work in Doha as part of Rubaiya Qatar, the project takes shape as collective work on the site designated for the future permanent Qatar Pavilion, designed by Lina Ghotmeh – Architecture. Produced by Qatar Museums and presented by Rubaiya Qatar, a gathering of remarkable people is organised around a tent-like structure inspired by Qatari gathering spaces, hosting a film by Sophia Al-Maria, live performances by Tarek Atoui, Alia Farid’s sculpture Jerrican, and a culinary programme by chef Fadi Kattan. Bringing together artists, musicians, poets and chefs, the project reflects on culture as an enduring bond that unites people.
