In its first participation, Sierra Leone makes a politically significant gesture by opening its space to four artists from the ECOWAS region – Nigeria, Togo, Senegal, and Benin – alongside Sierra Leonean and international artists. Not merely a group exhibition, but a mapping of the complexity of West Africa, where each voice carries a distinct tone shaped by language, culture, and differing paces of modernization. The project privileges depth over accumulation, seeking in the dialogue between adjacent works a network of meanings that crosses – and dissolves – imposed borders.
