In 1917, a temporary wooden mosque was built on the northwestern border of Slovenia by the Austro-Hungarian army for Bosnian Muslim soldiers fighting on the Isonzo front. Completely dismantled after the war and only rediscovered through excavations in 2022, this “invisible” structure becomes the central focus of the Pavilion. Through its critical reconstruction, the project reflects on the increasingly complex and contradictory interplay between religion, war, and political power from the 20th century to the early 2000s.
