A constellation of works spanning performance, film, installations, painting, and sculpture brings together twenty artists from Southeast Asia, Ireland, Serbia, and other international contexts, exploring identity, diaspora, uprooting, and spiritual resilience in a world dominated by migration and global transformation. At the centre, Marina Abramović’s Sea Punishing (2005) – a video in which hundreds of participants flog the sea, as a reaction to Andaman Sea tsunami – creates a ritual tension between gesture and catastrophe memory. It is accompanied by several artists’ works weaving together local cosmologies and contemporary imaginary.
