Active between Istanbul, Naples, and Vienna, Nilbar Güreş is known for her poetic, critical, and incisive approach to cultural symbols, social inequalities, and questions of identity. In Venice, she brings together existing works and new productions across sculpture, installation, and textiles, developed through a collaboration process with artisans in Istanbul. Through materials imbued with memory – garments, domestic objects, organic forms – Güreş explores migration, gender, and belonging, constructing a space where intimacy and political tension coexist between vulnerability and resistance.
