Based on Isabel Greenberg’s feminist graphic novel of the same name, the film immerses us in an imaginary medieval world of intrigue, rebellion, and emancipation. In a society where women must carefully measure every move, Cherry is left by her husband in the hands of a friend with ambiguous, yet all too clear, intentions, as seen by the maid Hero. An unexpected, intense, and above all forbidden bond forms between the two women. This costume comedy is directed by award-winning filmmaker Julia Jackman.
