The debut feature film by Swiss director Marie-Elsa Sgualdo, already awarded at several festivals for her short films, is set during World War II and follows a 15-year-old girl who becomes pregnant after being raped. Emma must face the scornful gazes of the villagers, a rural Protestant community quick to judge her. She suddenly finds herself a woman, forced to turn her trauma into a source of empowerment.
