Set in the 1970s, the film is inspired by the true story of Antonio Zagari. A young Calabrian living in Lombardy, Antonio is the son of a ’ndrangheta boss. Forced to follow in his father’s footsteps, he repeatedly stains his conscience by killing on others’ orders. But this is not his path: he decides to rebel, planning a revenge against his father. Daniele Vicari brings Antonio’s life to the screen, skillfully weaving together action, family conflict, personal emancipation, love, tragedy, and irony.
