(2024, France, 21')

Inspired by the famous myth of Plato’s cave, the concept of the short film came to life following the show Retour à la caverne (2023), created by JR on commission from the Opéra national de Paris. A meeting in Paris between the Italian director and the French artist becomes the opportunity for a new joint project, which starts from some reflections on the myth of Plato’s cave, expressed in a contemporary and metropolitan key. What would happen if one of the prisoners managed to free himself from the chains and escape from the dark cave? What if that prisoner was Jay, a seven-year-old boy?
